Christina Hagemeier

Christina works with children who are neurodivergent (known or suspected) and who have experienced trauma. As an Independent Contractor at Sage House Therapy, she offers sees and works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, difficulties concentrating, difficulties with peers or family members, nightmares, sensory processing concerns, trouble sleeping, reactions to disturbances in schedule, shame, fear, and challenges at school. 

Christina also works with adults who are neurodivergent (known or suspected), who have experienced trauma, and who are experiencing burnout at work or in relationships. You do not need to have a diagnosis of PTSD to have experienced trauma. Christina often works with adults who have/had difficult relationships with parents, a chaotic or uncertain childhood, and those who struggle in relationships. Some of the concerns she often sees and works with are: difficulties sleeping, shame, perfectionism, trouble communicating in relationships, trouble setting and keeping boundaries, difficulties understanding or processing emotions, fear, body tightness or discomfort, sensory processing challenges, reaction to changes in schedule, crying spells, lethargy or apathy about work or relationships, anxiety, and depression. 

Christina provides parenting coaching to parents who want to have a better, more effective relationship with their child. She has five years of experience working with students and parents in the school system to create effective strategies for communication, emotional and sensory regulation, management skills, and more. She specializes in work with children who are neurodivergent and may need different or extra support in their daily living. In parent coaching Christina can help support around the concerns of: power struggles, scheduling, understanding your emotions as a parent, helping your child with effective emotional regulation, how engage with your child from a place of compassion and curiosity, accomplishing undesirable tasks with your child (i.e. those pesky chores), structure and why it matters, building your child’s self-compassion and inner worth, and more. 

Christina is an in network provider with AnthemBCBS PPO plans and an out of network provider for most other insurance carriers.
